Great board game rpg to it. With some difficulty to it due to you only get 3 cards which u can use to attack or cast spells and they wear out after frequent use. No worries there are plenty of baddies and treasure chests to find new ones to replace the worn out ones. It randomly crashes and u cant save your progress in a level. However if it crashes it will save the wear on your cards and health etc. You can do much past the first 2 levels due to the fact it takes longer to find the boss and the chance it will crash can happen at anytime. Its more like a race to find the boss b4 the game crashes. The game has lots of potential but is currently unplayable. Most recent update: I hate that after u kill the boss u only get a few turns to loot b4 it all turns to lava. Especially on part 3 of a level, if u havent found the shop yet. Plus now that I try to continue my game it crashes. Had big hopes for this game but Im not going to wait for them to make it playable. Waste of money. Dont buy.
Im really trying to like this game, but I just feel the deck is stacked against the player from the start. Which is a pity, because I see so much potential in this being an awesome game with tremendous replay value. No tutorial, no default basic weapon (and no way to deliver a basic blow to enemies when attack cards wear out mid-battle), no default basic defensive armor and no reasonable opportunity "health up" before being dumped into the middle of a room full of enemies after defeating an end-level boss. The last one refers to how the entire dungeon quickly turns to lava once a boss is defeated. Youre forced to jump to the next level or die. The cards themselves seem to wear out equally, regardless of the class (poor, common, fine, etc.). As the player gets attacked, it often happens too quickly by many enemies to be able to tell which enemy is attacking and what is being used against you (which prevents the player from initiating an appropriate defense). This isnt a looting game per se. Yes, there is loot, but once you find something of value, you either have to accept the item now or discard it and lose it forever; Be it an attack card, a health potion, mana or equipment. Perhaps thats the intention (to make instant choices), but there really needs to be some sort of inventory system for basic survival needs (health/mana) to give the player a fighting chance. The game graphics are fun and pleasing to the eye, and the music is appropriate. But the ratio of cards wearing out to the amount of enemies to battle, especially early in the game, feels like this games logistics need to be reevaluated and majorly tweaked. As I said, Im really trying to like this game, but first I need to enjoy it, and in absence of that, I cant at this time recommend it to others.
At first this game had crashing problems and moving around took too long and if you went away for too long you had to redo the level. THIS IS NOW ALL FIXED! Respect to the tireless developers who are listening to their users. Recommended buy.
Taking a star away, the post fight boss lava flow is not fun and more importantly is buggy as f**k, and dose not play right with the new random slide system. Lots you just cant move were you need to now and invisible walls based on new Fire tiles. Item pickup is still broken about 20-30% of the time. This is fun but has a couple issues. Art and music are cool and I like the concept. Things that bother me. - no text history. Im often wondering what happened or even what killed me. What did my dude say? What kind of trap was that? Who knows. - health/mana way to hard to see. Same for mobs. - kinda slow and repetitive. - lacks critter variety in early dungs. This could shine but even the 5 year old who was super excited at first wondered off after 10 minutes of the same thing. Plus its crashing quite a bit. You can continue after a crash but the dungeon respawns and you loose all progress even if you killed a boss :(.

Card Dungeon is a great turn-based rogue-like. What I like the most: 1. The fun, challenging gameplay 2. The ad-free and IAP-free nature of the game 3. The well-done retro look and feel My only complaints: 1. One can unlock every trait in a relatively short amount of time, and not all of the traits feel like exciting or interesting choices (though most do). 2. The game does crash occasionally. But now it saves your progress, your collection and wear AND your place in the dungeon, making it very easy to start it up again and continue with no problem. Play this game if: • you love oldschool games • you like card or board games • you enjoy rpg dungeon crawlers You might not enjoy this game if: • you dislike the oldschool look • you dislike turn-based games • a relatively infrequent and non-game-changing crash upsets you Bonus point for Card Dungeon: It runs fine on my iPhone 4.
Interesting concept but way too random as cards can fail leaving you no options.
This game lags on the iPhone 4s and iPad 2. The lags are so bad that the game will crash in less than 5 minutes. It doesnt save your progress either. I usually cant get past the first room on either device. ----update------ Ok now that I upgraded to an iPhone 6 plus it plays great. Its actually pretty good game. I still cant find a way to save progress and Im not lucky enough to find the store on level 3. I want the store to pop up right next to me when the 3rd level spawns. It would make the game awesome. Im adding a star and will give 5 stars when I see a way to save the game and buy things from the store easier.
This game is a blast if you just have a few minutes here and there. Its got a few bugs, but the gameplay is well worth it! The bugs are things like crashes and getting locked on a level with no way out. They were very infrequent though.
Game ended on the first level with me standing on a platform of about twelve squares, standing in a teleporter that was going nowhere because lava burned everything to the ground. Everything but me on my twelve squares, in my teleporter going nowhere. This might have been one of the award winning games of the year, cast out in the garbage because of incompetence. That really is sad.
Plane still broken. Cards do not correspond to their outcomes. Still no response from devs regarding issues. << below from six month ago>> I have sent five emails to the devs regarding different game issues with no response from them. It is likely that the positive reviews of the game are ad-spam. Do not support devs who have no respect for users. The devs seem to be convinced that making this game more unpleasant to play is a clever idea. They are wrong. Improved movement helps the game greatly but the self destructing dungeon is a game killer. The utter randomness of the level creation means there is a nearly fifty percent chance that destruction will be triggered by the time the player has entered the fourth room. The devs desire to make the game unwinnable has sucked the remaining playability out of it. -----------------Earlier comments----------------- The game & instructions do not correspond. For instance: Find your previous dead body and collect items. Each dungeon is unique so there is no previous. Its as though much of the game is missing. 1) Too many things happen with no explanation. 2) There is no default attack/weapon so the player is often left not only without a good choice of action but, with no choice of action. 3) Many cards do not behave as described. For example opponent is supposed to "skip" three turns but attacks after next turn. 4) Camera is locked to character making pan option useless. 5) No map overview (see 5) 9) Very slow on a 4th gen iPad A) Clever graphics. B) Finally located market thought it was a preying mantis running around dungeon. C)No clear instruction how to change or increase traits. It is as though the dev intended to hide the procedure from the user. Downgrading to minus one star.
Love the game when it works. Sadly, the game crashes all the time and I do mean all the time on my iPad 4. Save your money.

I dont have the crashing problem,they must have fixed that bug, overall one of the best games I have seen in a while. There are not allot of dungeon games period. Much less ones that allow you to play them, walk away and continue where you left off. Worth playing
Please make a "confirm" to leave the current level. I have missed loot several times now cause I accidentally tap on the portal to leave. Fix that and itll be great!!!
It has potential. If only the game would play for more than 3 seconds before crashing. If its not fixed soon Ill be wanting to a refund.
Why are there ads in this if we PAY for it?
Its not as polished, font on cards seems small and game just throws you into your first dungeon aimlessly at a snails pace. Cards artwork could have used more work for price... Im playing on an iPhone 6 plus... Yes font STILL looks small. lol
I just beat the game I really enjoy level 7 lol I flipped out when I opened the first door and seen all those nasties. One recommendation is for the final level please allow us to get all the other top tier equipment / spells just so we can see what they are like I know there is a lot that I havent seen even though I beat it. Also I think you should offer a heal and card renew option at the merchant maybe 50 gold for heal 75 for card renew. That is all thank you guys very good game cant wait for #2 I would love to beta test if you will allow me I have experience in that field
