Dont listen to the haters. This is a good game!

No real strategy involved
This game is cool in theory. The font in the cards is much too small, and theres far too much going on on-screen to play on an iPhone/iPod. Its also very confusing the first few plays, due to a lack of any sort of tutorial (there may be one, but the text was indecipherable because of how small it was). I honestly wish I could have a refund. I wanted to like this game, but I really dont.
Not a bad crawl. Still some bugs but nothing major. The mechanics of the cards and equipment wearing out keeps the game from stagnation. Beat it with "laminated cards" perk and lava eruption.
I cannot even get through the first level without the game crashing. Ive tried a few times, and it crashes at slightly different points each time. It looks like it could be interesting, but Ill never know.
The newest update fixed the flood problem, but now it occasionally displays an empty level, bringing the game to a halt after hours of progress. Cool idea, but surely wish theyd fix the bugs.
Just bought. I can move 1-2 tiles, opened a chest. Then crash out of game. Reload. Move 1. Crash out. Reload. Move 1. Crash out. Reload. Tap inventory. Crash out. Get the point? I buy few games for IOS, this is why.
A tabletop RPG in my phone! This game is amazing. I really hope they make a part 2
To be fair I bought this app in hopes to emulate the computer game Card Hunter, so this review is heavily biased. Card dungeon is an interesting dungeon crawler with several visual impairments that repel me from the game. The art style is very underwhelming, even for an iOS game. I understand they are trying to achieve a specific style, but at some times some of the cards just look like something pulled directly from Microsoft paint, with no shading or details whatsoever. The font is another problem, as (on the iPhone 5s) the numerals indicating your health and mana on your character are very small and difficult to read. They tried to adopt a zoom in system for cards such as Hearthstone uses, but there are so many cards it becomes a pain to zoom in every time you need to check the effects of attacks. The game throws you into the first dungeon without explanation. This may be to emulate the games of old, but its frustrating as the game has many small mechanics, such as being able to move two tiles only after all monsters are killed in the room, that you must figure out for yourself. It also never explained the mana system, so I spent some time trying to figure out why I couldnt use any attack. On a different note, the game uses all "spell" cards, meaning every attack or spell you use costs mana. This entails that if you run out of mana and dont have a mana regeneration spell, you cant use attacks at all. While this is easy to avoid, the lack of explanation of the mana systems may leave beginners having me to restart the game. This is a good structure for a game, but I would advise avoiding purchase until the developers work on the aforementioned issues.
This is a lot.ike Card Hunter that is played over the Internet but this version is two simplistic. Here you only get three abilities which is too stifling. Those abilities wear out and if youre unlucky enough to not get a replacement offensive ability then youre done for. This game needs a lot of work to be fun.
Waste of time and money. Dont bother with this garbage!
should be a way to pan around screen without it shooting back to your guy right away, some of the equipment doesnt work right away, like ring that gives +4 to maximum health, I only got it on next floor. "Summon a demon to do ur bidding" -attacks me each turn -_- should be more shops and not only sell health/mana. Game glitches out sometimes, where enemies stuck on screen with 0 health, a lot of other little glitches, like standing on a blessed tile but not getting conditions removed, or tapping on a card and theres massive outter red boxes around them
Art work is great, interesting concept but the need to start over from very beginning after dieing rather than most recently completed level is a real pain.
If you recall DnD as part of the good old days, look past 3 action card limit, then its a great game, once you understand the game play of it. Good strategy.
I always come back to play and see how far i can get. It seems like Zelda for Nintendo in a card-based game. I also like how its never the same game, if you have to start over again. Sometimes i wish there was a way the Save your spot in the game!
Based on the graphic style I thoughtvthis game would be similar to Loots and Legends but it is not. The game is rouge-like turn by turn gameplay. The tutorial is very basic and does not explain enough how to play the game. Chapters will end randomly without reason. The character will die randomly seemingly without reason, a couple times even when at full health. Gameplay is rough, not easy to play. The game has no story. I do like the graphics, really wish there was any depth at all behind the game...especially for a pay game. I really want to like this game but its too confusing and gameplay seems random.
Keeps in mind if youre reading this that this game flawlessly executes what it sets out to do. Negative reviews are from people buying it without doing their homework.
This is overall a pretty good game, The issue I have is a glitch that happened. I had summoned a demon to help me fight a mini-boss, and the demon killed the mini-boss with hell-fire. However, after the tune played and I was told I had beaten the level, the demon turned on me and killed me with one spell. Is this intended?
Dont run out of abilities ! Its a good challenge of a game. Not really a collecting game though.
Im a huge boardgame / rpg fan. This satisfies my urge to move figures, roll dice and kills monsters. Amazing presentation, unique and fun mechanics and extremely challenging. Keep up the great work!
